Erich Bohn is a Junior and has been on Newspaper for his two previous years at CHS. He plays soccer and has two dogs that bring him much joy. He also enjoys playing video games. Erich hopes to write more reviews and stories for the students at CHS in addition to his other classes and hobbies.

Carissa Maseberg gives AP Statistic help to several students during Lab. Though AP Statistics is a difficult subject and a college-level class, her teaching has helped many students to understand and internalize the processes and strategies needed to be successful in her class. “She’s helped me figure out how to do math,” Roberson said.

Students dance to the music of the various artists during the Winter Formal. The DJ was the same one who DJ’d Homecoming and the music selection ranged from quiet, to pop, to rock anthems. “I really enjoyed how the bottom floor was really quiet, the dance floor was intense, and the top floor was still loud but not too loud.” Dalby said.

Cast members practice their lines and go over songs at Evergreen. “I don’t know the show super well but it’s really funny,” Griffiths said. “It was honestly surprising how funny and enjoyable it is.” The play is going through read-throughs, with some changes to the script being made at the request of the cast and the directors of the show, but the script should remain largely unchanged in its main ideas and jokes.

Teachers have adopted phone pockets to deal with the possibility of students being on their phones during class. Now that the rules have been changed, these pockets have become more common throughout the school. However, teachers do have some freedom in how they choose to enforce the new rules. “I get that a teacher’s classroom is their classroom and I want them to feel independent and that they can do what they need to do,” Dean of Students Nick Colangelo said.

New London embraces a New Order. To keep the heat flowing the people must be kept in line using prisons, round-ups, guards, propaganda, torture, and public executions. The path to the New Order is a slippery slope, one that begins with noble intentions but ends with totalitarian rule over the city in the name of necessity. The choice between Order and Faith is integral to Frostpunk as it gives the player the option to sacrifice their morality to make the game easier.

These posters were put on the Orange Buckets used in the Orange Bucket drive on April 7, which raised several thousand dollars for CLUB and its efforts. The fundraiser (poster above) was initially planned prior to the fire, but the focus shifted following January 30. The theme for the tournament is “Hawaiian” and the team hopes to raise 500 to 1000 dollars for the Fiery family. “My main goal for the fundraiser is to raise awareness for Daisy’s GoFundMe,” Laurie said.

The long-distance team runs laps during practice. Different specialities on the team have separate exercises and drills and even have their own assigned coaches. “I’m the sprints and hurdles coach and I also help out with jumps,” Coach Brandon Krage said. “Essentially I oversee the day-to-day operations of getting the warm-ups in and plan most things concerning the events I coach.”

A poster for TOZ advertises the canceled concert. The members would have played two performances on the tour and traveled to Houston and San Antonio, Texas. TOZ plays covers of their past songs as well as songs from Queen, AC/DC, and more. “We haven’t played together in 40 years and then we played last July,” Neuenschwander said. “We got a list of songs we played in highschool and we’ve been rehearsing for a few days.”

Rhys Hanson demonstrates a selfmade RC car during Trick-or-Treat street. Hanson has many roles on the team, not the least of which are the drive coach, which means that Hanson is very skilled at driving the robots the team creates. Hanson’s other jobs also include general management, electrical lead, Co-team lead, mechanical worker, and designer. “I wear many hats in robotics,” Hanson said.

Several students work on creating rings. These rings are each in different stages of completion. This ring project is the third assignment of the semester. The previous projects were related to planning and practicing making these rings. The class is very laid-back and students are allowed to watch shows or listen to music as long as they complete the required work.
