Ellie Chase, Editor In Chief

Ellie Chase is a senior this year at Conifer High School. This is her fourth year on staff and third year as an editor. She loves writing sports feature stories and enjoyed competing in sports writing on the trip to the Journalism Conference in Boston last year. In her free time, she plays competitive club soccer for Rush as well as varsity track for Conifer. She also loves to hike, travel, rock climb, and scuba dive.

"We just want to go on with our lives, we don’t want to get murdered…everyone’s sick of it. It just takes people to be able to compromise and we will have peace,” senior Adam Tal said.

There can only be seven players in the pool at a time per team, and there is a roster of twelve players on Mortier’s team which allows for multiple subs. Because just staying afloat is so challenging subs rotate in and out frequently. “In water polo you’re constantly moving. You’re constantly doing something. It’s been physically challenging,” Mortier said.

Rife gained 33 points for the team this year and had the top assist rate, with 11 assists overall this season.
