Amelia Hobgood, Section Editor

Amelia Hobgood is a sophomore working her second year on the newspaper staff at Conifer High School as a section editor. She enjoys playing soccer, rock climbing, travel, and other outdoor activities. Last year her writing won second place for lifestyle news-feature, second place for lifestyle coverage, and second place for in-depth sports coverage in the CSMA Best of Colorado Awards.

Sophomore Spencer Peesel is helping ref on the sidelines as the teams play. Peesel plays for L3 on the Conifer volleyball team, but she is here to support Firey. “I thought this was a great opportunity for us to look out and see what we could do for someone else,” Eddy said.

Senior Maddox Rife smiles proudly whilst gazing into the crowd with his parents. Rife is being recognized for his contribution to the team on Senior Night before his last high school game ever. Rife gained 33 points for the team this year and had the top assist rate, with 11 assists overall this season.

One of these 12 goals was from the Wheat Ridge game, when he scored the second goal for Conifer off a free kick from Grant Kirklin.
