The Lobo Legend recently published an online magazine going over the entirety of the first semester. It includes reviews, recipes, recent news and more. The magazine was proudly designed by the staff and includes varying styles that flows together nicely.

Loud and Proud: Conifer Spirit Week

Cartner prepares to open the evening by directing the first song played at the Night at the Cafe. Plans for the Night at the Cafe to continue under Laura Sarché are in place, allowing for the event to continue after Cartners departure, with several students already having made preparations. “I want to do more volunteering next year for the Night at the Cafe,” sophomore Maggie Sullivan said. “Serving, prepping food and stuff like that.

During the 2023 season players were in constant contact with coaches and administrators about changes they were hoping to see in the program, specifically with the coaching staff. “It was never about the losing…the community just went so downhill because of the leadership that it just wasn’t worth it for us anymore, junior Ellie Chase said.

Carissa Maseberg gives AP Statistic help to several students during Lab. Though AP Statistics is a difficult subject and a college-level class, her teaching has helped many students to understand and internalize the processes and strategies needed to be successful in her class. “She’s helped me figure out how to do math,” Roberson said.

Every year in February Conifer students excluding outgoing seniors, must complete their class registration. Students register for classes both on paper and on Infinite Campus, and the course names displayed are the official course names. “Social Media sounds like something that involves Social Media, like Instagram, not a second year Newspaper course,” Fritz said.

Conifer’s football team is helping West Jefferson Middle School kids learn how to lift weights safely and correctly. Through this program, the kids can pick up safety and proper lifting skills from the high school students. I think helping them improve a lot since they are starting at a young age,” sophomore Jack Van Airsdale said.
