To encourage HOSA members to analyze the general public’s understanding of a health issue, and to use technology to produce a visual public service announcement that informs the community about an important health issue, student teams consisting of three-six (3-6) members produce a 30-second visual Public Service Announcements (PSA) for an upcoming competition.

The PSA promotes a health service organization, brings awareness to a health situation, or educates the public at large in regard to health and well-being.

Round One will be the viewing only of the PSA by the judges.

Selected teams will give their presentation to a set of judges in Round Two.

During the 2023 season players were in constant contact with coaches and administrators about changes they were hoping to see in the program, specifically with the coaching staff. “It was never about the losing…the community just went so downhill because of the leadership that it just wasn’t worth it for us anymore, junior Ellie Chase said.

Every year in February Conifer students excluding outgoing seniors, must complete their class registration. Students register for classes both on paper and on Infinite Campus, and the course names displayed are the official course names. “Social Media sounds like something that involves Social Media, like Instagram, not a second year Newspaper course,” Fritz said.

Throughout the season the marching band plays at Conifer football games and competes at several regional and state level competitions. This year at regionals the team placed 7th overall.
