Granby Ranch Race a success for Lobo Mountain Bikers

Laura Cence

Lander Turner, varsity rider for the Conifer Mountain Biking Team, pushes hard through a turn in the home stretch to finish his second lap. Turner finished 12th at the Granby Ranch Race.

Conifer High School Mountain Bike Team competed this weekend in Granby Ranch, CO. The day prior to the race was wet, snowing, and left the possibility of a challenging muddy course. Alas with a delayed start and mother nature helping with sun and a light breeze, the course dried out and races were on!!! Sunday’s South Conference hosted over 500 high school racers, with Conifer Lobos racing well.  CHS Team placed 12th overall for the Granby Ranch race!!
