On October third, the Conifer Lobos L4 Volleyball team took a win after a fast paced game against Littleton High school. With each set scoring high with little fouls, the Lobos went home with another win under their belt, adding to their .
Players have hopes that they can bring this energy into their next few games. As the season goes forward, they continue to work on their skills for the rest of the season.
“I think my team did a really good job,” Victoria Stewart stated, “Our passes were right to the center.”
Even after a high scoring win, there’s always room for improvement, and that’s what the Lobos have been aiming to do since the beginning of the season.
“They’ve improved a ton,” Coach Krista Shnell said. “I’m really proud of how they are doing and how hard they are working. Everyone’s game is so much better than it was in the beginning of the season”
After seeing the improvements on the court, other players speak about what else is needed to focus on for the few games they have left.
“[I think] just staying positive all throughout [the game],” Stewart said. “And our serves.”
The players reflect on the mistakes the team made and determines what can be worked on.
“I think we need to improve on our sets,” Freshman Izumi Hartshorne says, “For the most part, we are doing good. We can always do better.”
