JV Wins Opening Game

Conifer’s JV football team had their first game against Summit County on October 10th at Conifer High School.

The game was a strong start to the season for the JV team with a win of 52-0. The team managed to intercept the ball in the first quarter, leading to one of the team’s first touchdowns.

“It was exciting seeing that we intercepted the ball, especially since we got quite a lot of yards on Summit from the interceptions,” freshman player Aiden Williams said.

The Lobos took the lead in the first half of the game. Their next game will be against Green Mountain on October 19th at 4 pm. The location is still undecided.

“Everyone worked pretty hard so I think we’re going to win. We did pretty well against Summit, so I think this is going to be pretty easy,” Williams said.
