The Adaptive PE class won the annual Unified Basketball game against the Elk Creek volunteer fire department.

The game started at eight am on Wednesday, March 8, in the gym at Conifer High School.

The Lobos took the lead early and led 68-8 by the beginning of the third quarter.

During half time, the Conifer Teachers took the court to challenge the firefighters.

Freshman Luke Whittington (‘20) led the student team making several shots including a free throw. During the run time, the Conifer band played in the senior bleachers. Teammates Hunter Sanders (‘20), Patrick McDonald (‘17), Madisen Koskinen (‘19), Sydney Hoagland (‘20), Michael Vickery (’17), Joel Van Dyne (’20), and Wyatt Bunch (’18), working with their peer tutor Karley Low (’18),  provided strong support with shooting and cheering as their team pushed toward victory.

Sophie Saxton, Jamie Edwards, and Sydney Hoagland held signs and cheered for their fellow Lobos.

The firefighters pushed hard at the end of the game but their efforts fell short.  The final score ended at 88-10 Lobos!
